Serialize each CTL request as: raw SOH (01h), Reserved (30h), one destination-address byte, controller Source (30h), message type A (41h), two ASCII hexadecimal digits encoding the message length, raw STX (02h), the expanded command payload, raw ETX (03h), one raw BCC byte, and raw CR (0Dh).
