Summary
The Lumens VC-TR40 / VC-TR40N is an AI auto-tracking PTZ camera controllable via RS-232C serial using the VISCA command protocol. The device also supports VISCA over IP via UDP (port 52381) on the same command set. Notes on addressing: VISCA commands use a header byte 8x where x = camera address (1–7). Reply packets use X0 where X = camera address + 8 (i.e. 9–F). All commands terminate with FF. Socket number Y (1–2) identifies the command socket for ACK/completion messages. For VISCA over IP, device addresses are locked to 0 (controller) and 1 (peripheral). Broadcast header is 88. Broadcast is not available for VISCA over IP.
