Connection notes (verbatim from source):

  • The eISCP packet is: 4-byte magic ISCP, 4-byte big-endian header size (currently 0x00000010), 4-byte big-endian data size, 1-byte version (0x01), 3-byte reserved (0x000000), then the ISCP message body.
  • ISCP message body over Ethernet: !1CMDxx[EOF] (or [EOF][CR] / [EOF][CR][LF]).
  • ISCP message body over RS-232: !1CMDxx[CR] (or [LF] / [CR][LF]).
  • The TCP connection must be held open continuously; only one client may connect at a time.
  • Inter-message interval must be ≥ 50 ms; the receiver returns a status message within 50 ms or the exchange is considered failed.
