Summary

Light-protocol RS-232 / Ethernet interface for the Domintell home-automation bus. Third-party software exchanges ASCII Light Protocol frames with the host over serial or UDP; variant modules (DRS23201, DRS23202, DETH02) expose configuration-string I/O, hex I/O, and session-managed IP control respectively.

Notes on transport:

  • DB-9 wiring: TX = pin 2, RX = pin 3, GND = pin 5; pins 1/7/8/9 = NC; pins 4/6 reserved (handshake, unused).
  • Recommended cable: straight female-male DB9 to a computer, null-modem male-male DB9 to a target device such as a projector.
  • DETH02: UDP only, single concurrent client.
  • Inter-frame gap on RS-232: minimum 25 ms OR use the reserved & character.
  • Maximum Light Protocol message length: 30 characters.
  • Reserved characters: % (starts additional parameters), & (frame concat / inter-message gap).
